David returned to JMU for the third time in August of 2013, as the Associate Athletic Director for Fundraising and External Development.  In this role, Biancamano will oversee all the day-to-day activity of the JMU Duke Club.

David comes to us from Rice University, where he served as the Director of Development and led fundraising on a $44M football facility expansion and $9M tennis center project.

During his second stint at JMU from 2008-2011, Biancamano was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Development.  He was the lead fundraiser for the Memorial Stadium Project (new baseball and softball complex), and he was a member of the team that raised capital funds for the Campaign for Bridgeforth Stadium (football stadium enhancement).

Prior to joining JMU, Biancamano spent three years at the Missouri Valley Conference office in St. Louis.  He started at the MVC in July of 2005, as the Assistant Director of Communications and moved into the role of Director of Operations later that fall. Biancamano was promoted to Assistant Commissioner in the summer of 2007.  He handled championship operations for selected sports and coordinated officiating assignments and compensation.  He served as the Assistant Tournament Manager for the 2007 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Midwest Regional at the Edward Jones Dome.

A native of Wethersfield, Conn., Biancamano spent seven years in the sports information field.  He began his career in September 1997 as a student assistant at Central Connecticut State University, followed by a two-year stint as a media relations intern at JMU, and a year as a media relations staff assistant at Indiana University in 2004-2005.

Biancamano earned his Bachelor's degree in Communications from Central Connecticut State in May 2002.  David, his wife Emily, and their twin boys, Conner and Grant, reside in Harrisonburg.
