Aaron arrived at James Madison in August of 2013 after serving as the Coordinator for Athletics Annual Giving and VIP Programs at Oakland University in Rochester, MI. While working for Oakland, Aaron oversaw all aspects of the Golden Grizzlies Athletic Fund daily operations and all VIP Program activities, as well as donor fund cultivation, development communication and marketing, and developing and implementing departmental special events.
Additionally, Aaron was responsible for working with all 18 Varsity Sports in raising funds for their programs and assisting with the management and oversight of the department’s database and the processing of all Athletics gifts. Aaron was also worked with the All-University Fund Drive and assisted the Development and Community Engagement Division with special events and fund-raising initiatives throughout campus.
In the community, Aaron was the founding chair of the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Committee and is a member of Rotary International.
Before Oakland, Aaron was the Director of Marketing/Business Development & Game Presentation for the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
|Aaron earned his Master’s of Science in Sports Administration (Marketing minor) from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Hospitality, Recreation & Resort Management from the University of West Florida.|
