Department Description: Our mission is to invite the friends of the University and JMU athletics to develop a relationship with our department. In the fulfillment of our mission, we strive to clearly demonstrate: The vision of JMU Athletics and the opportunities to invest in the betterment of our Student-Athletes.
Spring Intern Description:
Assist Director of Special Events with the following projects:
- Batter Up BBQ (Baseball event - January 2013)
- Men's & Women's Basketball Legends (March 2013)
- Men's & Women's CAA Basketball Tournaments (March 2013; Pre-game hospitality)
- Duke Club Golf Classic (April 2013)
- Student-Athlete Banquet (April 2013)
- CAA Baseball Tournament (May 2013)
- CAA and/or NCAA tournaments (Banquet & hospitality @ venue) (June 2012)
- Duke Club Spring Tour chapter events (Regional; May/June/July)
Fall Intern Description:
Assist Director of Special Events with the following projects:
- Planning for Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner
- Planning for Duke Club Scholarship Auction
- Planning and potential travel to road football game/pre-game event
- Potential Duke Club member event (Scholar-Athlete & Full Scholarship levels only)
- Potential Circle of Champions event
