    RICHMOND, Va., Nov. 2, 2009 - James Madison freshman Markus Bjørkheim has been selected Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer Rookie of the Week for the week ending Nov. 1.

    He was honored for his play in the Dukes' 6-2 win at Hofstra on Oct. 31.

    In the match Bjørkheim scored twice in a span of 46 seconds in the second half to break a 2-2 deadlock.  Less than two minutes after his second goal, he got an assist on the Dukes' fifth goal.  Then, in the 84th minute, Bjørkheim's pass led to the JMU's sixth goal.  His two goals and two assists all came in the final 25 minutes of the match.
