Join your fellow JMU supporters on Thursday, November 12 as many Duke Club Chapters will be holding viewing parties for the men's basketball season-opener against Big Ten foe Ohio State. The game is slated to begin at 7:00 pm and will be televised live on the Big Ten Network from Columbus.
The matchup presents two teams coming off successful seasons. The Dukes, entering their second season under head coach Matt Brady, are picked to finish fifth in the Colonial Athletic Association led by CAA Rookie of the Year Julius Wells. JMU finished the 2008-09 campaign with an overall record of 21-15 and a 9-9 ledger in the CAA. The Dukes competed in the CAA Tournament as well as reaching the semifinals of the post-season CollegeInsider.com Tournament.
Ohio State enters its sixth season under head coach Thad Matta and is picked to finish third in the Big Ten Conference. The Buckeyes are ranked in the preseason top-20 after finishing the 2008-09 campaign with a 22-11 record. OSU made an appearance in the Big Ten Tournament title game as well as the NCAA Tournament before losing in the first round to Siena
