"No two people have the same life experience. My goal is to help students reach a level of understanding and respect for each other's differences while at the same time finding that common thread that connects us all."
Elaine Penn
Everyday, our world and our campuses are becoming more diverse. It is more important than ever for students to respect, value and get along with people who are different from them. In this insightful program, students are challenged to examine their own biases and understand how these affect their relationships with others. Penn also shows how diversity issues still exist and can be motivated by differences such as: race, religion, sexual orientation and gender. Attendees learn meaningful ways to eliminate stereotypes, eradicate prejudice, and find the common ground that links us all.
