HARRISONBURG, Va., March 17, 2013 – The final day of the 2013 James Madison Softball Invitational was rained out on Sunday. No makeup date will be scheduled. 

JMU and Detroit started a game at 10 a.m. and played through three and a half innings, but wet field conditions forced the teams to call off the remainder of the day’s action. 

The Dukes led Detroit 10-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning, but the game is officially declared a “no contest.” Any stats accumulated in the game do not count towards the season. 

JMU returns to play on Wednesday as it hosts a doubleheader against Princeton at Veterans Memorial Park. First pitch for game one of the doubleheader is scheduled for 3 p.m.
