WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Oct. 7, 2012 -- The James Madison women's tennis team finished the three-day Tribe Invitational on Sunday with three athletes in their respective flight title matches.

Junior Ruxandra Andriescu (Brampton, Ontario, Canada/Turner Fenton) placed fifth in the Margie Waters Singles Flight after defeating Norfolk State's Laura Gutierrez 6-1, 6-2.

In the same flight, junior Jacqueline Palmucci (Aurora, Colo./Cherokee Trail) lost in the championship match to Old Dominion's Nika Khmolovska.  Khmolovska won set one 7-5, but Palmucci battled back to take set two 6-2.  She ultimately fell in set three when Khmolovska outscored her 10-5.
