HARRISONBURG, Va., Oct. 5, 2012 -- Fans have the opportunity to recognize the JMU men's soccer team and senior All-America Paul Wyatt in online voting at TopDrawerSoccer.com.
Fans can vote for JMU soccer today in three categories:
* What's been the biggest upset of the year (thus far)?
* Which program is most likely to pull another big upset this season?
* Which standout player is the best giant-killer?
JMU beat defending NCAA champion North Carolina 1-0 on Sept. 11 at University Park. UNC entered the game unbeaten and ranked number one in the NSCAA coaches poll and number two in the Soccer America poll.
Earlier this week the Dukes battled No. 12/11 (Soccer America/NSCAA) Old Dominion to a scoreless overtime tie on the Monarchs' home field. JMU was the first team to shut out ODU this year. The Monarchs came into the Oct. 3 match averaging just over three goals per game and ranked fifth in NCAA Division I in total goals.
