DOWNINGTOWN, Pa., June 11, 2011 -- Three James Madison lacrosse seniors played on the winning South team at the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game Saturday.
Defender Diana Apel Glenwood, Md./Glenelg), attacker Mary Kate Lomady (Abington, Pa./Abington) and midfielder Caitlin Sullivan (Kennesaw, Ga./Harrison) and their South teammates came away with an 8-7 win over the North in the game played at the United Sports Training Center.
With the game tied 4-4 at halftime, the South outscored the North 4-3 in the second period to take the victory. Lomady assisted on a second-half goal that gave her team a 6-5 lead, and the South held the advantage the rest of the way.
