DES MOINES, Iowa, June 24, 2010 -- James Madison rising sophomore Stacey Nobles (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) finished sixth in the 3,000 meters and rising sophomore Marissa McDonald (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) placed seventh in the long jump at the USA Track & Field Junior National Championships Thursday at Drake Stadium.
Nobles completed the 3,000 meters in 9 minutes, 51.23 seconds. The race was won by Emily Sisson in 9:18.73.
McDonald turned in a long jump of 5.76 meters (18 feet, 10 3/4 inches). Karynn Dunn of Stanford won the competition with a jump of 6.21 meters (20'4 1/2").
