HARRISONBURG, Va., June 14, 2010 -- Former JMU men's soccer player Nick Zimmerman scored his team's only goal in the Harrisburg (Pa.) City Islanders' 1-1 tie with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Saturday night at Harrisburg's Skyline Sports Complex.

Zimmerman (JMU '08), a member of the Major League Soccer club Philadelphia Union, was on loan to the City Islanders for Saturday's game.  His goal for Harrisburg came in the 85th minute.

Zimmerman was named to the USL Second Division Team of the Week for his performance, and his tying goal was selected Goal of the Week by Philly Soccer News.

Harrisburg plays in the United Soccer Leagues' Second Division. The USL-2 is a third tier of American professional soccer, below MLS and USL-1/USSF D-2.

Zimmerman, a former midfielder for the Dukes, was a two-time All-Colonial Athletic Association selection at JMU.
