| 2013 Duke Club Benefits |
Duke Club members provide for student-athlete scholarships and the
general operating budget of the JMU Athletic Department. In addition to the gratification from supporting our Athletics programs, donors may also receive the following benefits:
Member Gifts
Recognition Gift Item
Each year, the Duke Club provides a unique recognition item to all Crown Level ($3,500) and above donors. This item varies annually and has included fleece blankets and pairs of rocks glasses. Each item is branded in a custom way to represent JMU Athletics.
JMU Duke Club Decal
Every Duke
Club member receives the annual Duke Club decal. The design changes each year and is a great
way for donors to display their pride in JMU Athletics.
JMU Athletics Annual Report
The JMU
Athletics Annual Report highlights the year's successes on and off the field. The report reviews each
team's competitive season, student-athletes' academic achievements, and community involvement. The publication also spotlights any
upcoming facility projects or major plans for JMU Athletics. Finally, we recap the year of fundraising and
the impact our donors have on the program.
All Duke Club members receive the report electronically, and printed copies may be provided upon request.
Football
Football Priority Seating Privileges
To have the
best seats at Bridgeforth Stadium, ticket holders must be Duke Club
members. Duke Club membership levels allow donors to sit in priority, chairback, or club seat sections. Your gift level also determines the number of
seats you may reserve. Seating
privileges begin at the Duke Level ($125).
Football Priority Parking Privileges
All Duke Club
members at the Duke Level ($125) or higher receive a season parking pass at no
additional cost. Duke Club member lots are
the closest to the stadium and include both paved and grass lots. Parking is based on availability and Duke
Club ranking.
Personalized Field Parking
Donors at the Royal Level ($5,500) and above will have a personalized name plate on their parking space for JMU football.
Downtown Dining Hospitality Tent
The Downtown
Dining Alliance (DDA) in Harrisonburg provides food and beverage for every home football game at JMU. The DDA, comprised of over 20 local restaurants, serves a variety of items from classical American fare to
Caribbean and Ethiopian cuisine. Access
to the tent begins at the Bluestone Level ($1,500) and includes complimentary food
and beverage. You must have season
tickets to gain access to the Tent, which opens two
and a half hours prior to kickoff and closes thirty minutes before the game.
Basketball
Men's Basketball Seating Privileges
All Duke Club
members at the Duke Level ($125) have access to season tickets in the lower
level of the Convocation Center. Seating
is based on availability and Duke Club ranking.
Men's Basketball Parking Privileges
All Duke Club
members at the Duke Level ($125) will receive a season parking pass. Duke Club members with larger donations may park closer to the Convocation Center than other donors and non-members. Parking is based on availability and Duke Club ranking.
Men's & Women's Basketball Hospitality
Prior to all men's home games, the Duke Club provides pre-game and halftime
hospitality. For women's basketball, the
Duke Club provides pre-game hospitality at five pre-selected games per year and halftime for each game. Local caterers, as well as JMU
Dining Services, provide complimentary food and beverage beginning one hour
prior to tip-off. In addition to food
and beverage, men's basketball attendees will have the opportunity to listen to
an assistant coach discuss the upcoming opponent. Duke Club members with season tickets will
have access to hospitality starting at the Bluestone Level ($1,500).
Duke Club Scholarship Auction Invitation
The Duke Club
Scholarship Auction is one of two signature events for the Duke Club. The auction, which takes place on a Friday
night each fall, features over 150 silent auction items and five or six live auction items. Many JMU coaches and
student-athletes attend the event, and tickets for the event are complimentary to Duke Club members at the
Royal Level ($5,500) and above.
Duke Club Golf Classic Entry
The Duke Club
Golf Classic started 25 years ago and is one of two
signature events for the Duke Club. Attendees
join JMU coaches and staff for a day on the course. Participants receive a round of golf, two meals, awards ceremony, goodie bag, and a JMU Nike pullover. Royal Level ($5,500) and above donors receive complimentary entry to the Classic.
Duke Club Member
Event
Each year, the Duke Club arranges a special event for members
at the Scholar-Athlete Level ($11,000) or above. This event usually revolves around an away football game, where donors are treated to dinner, hotel accommodations, and
pre-game festivities.
