Getting to know Tom...

Why did you choose JMU?
The warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with the great coaching staff.

What is your major?

Which of your teammates would you most want to play in a one-on-one game?
Charles Cooke and/or Andre Nation, because of their ability to score when isolated.  It would challenge me to improve my on-ball defense.

Paul George, he’s a very versatile small forward who is also a strong defender and is capable of scoring in multiple ways.

What did last year’s NCAA tournament run mean to you?
I felt a great sense of pride watching my future teammates prove themselves on a national stage and put Harrisonburg back on the map.

I wear #20 because...
My preferred number was taken.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?
Ashton Kutcher

What is one thing every JMU student should do at JMU before graduation?
Come to a basketball game!

If not basketball, what other sport would you play?

What will it take for you to consider this season a success?
Win another CAA Championship.

Other than playing pro basketball, what are your career goals?
Leaning towards a profession in architecture or engineering.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?
Taylor Swift

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?
I’d travel to Italy to visit my distant relatives.

How old were you when you first knew that you wanted to play basketball in college?
14 years old.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Living back in Massachusetts (Boston most likely) and working towards becoming more successful in my profession.

If you could have dinner with any 3 people in the world, who would they be?
