JMU Athletics thanks all the fans who helped make Bridgeforth Stadium 25K Strong this past football season with an average attendance of 25,002 and one of the best game day atmospheres in FCS football. Our record setting crowds were built on 7,529 season tickets sold for the 2011 season, great student attendance and a strong showing from JMU Nation at all of our home games. This performance far exceeded our expectations and we thank the entire JMU Nation for this accomplishment.
While the Dukes had success on the field, advancing to the second round of the NCAA FCS playoffs, it was an equally exciting season inside Bridgeforth Stadium for fans visiting the newly expanded facility. Visitors to Bridgeforth Stadium experienced a world-class facility complete with interactive concourses and exciting in game entertainment on the largest videoboard in Virginia (jmVu). The incredible sight lines and proximity to the field, coupled with impressive views of Harrisonburg and the surrounding mountains, makes the seats in both the upper and lower levels a unique experience. For Duke Club members looking for that added level of comfort, the Club and Suite Level offered a premium game day experience. The inaugural season in the expanded stadium was a complete success and the Dukes again thank our fans and anticipate even more interest in 2012 as we build upon this success and make Bridgeforth Stadium the toughest place to play in the country.
While the expanded Bridgeforth Stadium offers an experience for everyone, fans agreed that the best place to take in the JMU Football gameday experience is from the Bridgeforth Club Level. Based on the rave reviews and exceptional fan feedback from the fans in 2011, we do not expect the few club seats remaining to last long. In addition to the chairback seating between the 25 yard lines, the Club Level featured a fully catered gourmet meal by Aramark, refreshed throughout the game with themed food and dessert stations. The 8,000-square foot room with 16 flat screen televisions features two bars offering club members two complimentary beverages as part of their ticket package. The limited club seats still available can be acquired by fans who commit to a multi-year agreement.
For the highest level of comfort in a private setting, Bridgeforth Stadium Hospitality suites provide another unique experience for Dukes fans. Only a couple suites are still available and can also be acquired on a multi-year basis starting in the 2012 season.
