  • Preseason honorable mention All-CAA
  • 13 points, five rebounds and five assists in season opener vs. Canisius

2009-10

  • Started all but one of JMU's 2009-10 games after starting in 35 of their 36 in 2008-09.
  • Third Team All-CAA. Team's No. 2 scorer (16.3) and rebounder (5.1). Had 91 three-pointers, JMU's No. 4 season figure and its best season mark by a freshman or sophomore. Second among CAA players in three- pointers.
  • Has 169 career three-pointers, JMU's No. 5 all-time mark. His 471 career three-point tries are JMU's No. 6 career mark.
  • Set JMU's season mark of 1,211 minutes. Averaged 36.7 minutes, JMU's No. 5 overall season mark. Has averaged 32.9 minutes in two seasons, matching JMU's No. 5 career mark. Played all 40 minutes at Stanford Dec. 29 and at Northeastern Jan. 2 and had a consecutive minutes played mark of 118:04 until sitting out two first-half minutes vs. Delaware. Played 910 of 960 minutes during JMU's last 24 games (37.9 average).
  • Set JMU sophomore records for points (539), minutes (1,211), minutes average (36.7), field goal attempts (470, three-pointers (91), three-point tries (258), starts (32), and turnovers (106). Tied the sophomore record of 33 games played.
  • Among CAA players ranked fourth in scoring, second in minutes per game and three-pointers, ninth in three-point percentage (.353) and 10th in defensive rebounding (4.3).
  • Had 20 points in JMU's 76-71 win over VCU Feb. 13, including a three-pointer with 0:48 left to put JMU up to stay, 72-69.
  • Had 22 points and a team-high eight rebounds in JMU's 96-86 win vs. Longwood Feb. 22 and 15 points and seven rebounds in JMU's 65-63 win over William & Mary Jan. 27.
  • Had a game-high 23 points, including 15 on three- pointers, Jan. 9 vs. Towson. Had two rebounds, four assists and two steals.
  • Had a team-season-best 29 points at Stanford. Had five three-pointers, including three during the final 0:28. Had 23 second-half points, nine rebounds and a career-high-tying five assists.
  • In 39 minutes at Old Dominion matched his season high of 29 points and had six rebounds and three assists. Had a career-high seven three-pointers.
  • Vs. Delaware had 24 points, including four three- pointers.
  • Had 23 points and a career-high 12 rebounds at Florida International. Hit on eight of 16 shots, including six of 10 from three-point range. Tied his then-career high for three-pointers.
  • Had his second double-double of the season at Eastern Michigan (19 points, 11 rebounds). Had three assists and a steal.

2008-09

  • CAA Rookie of the Year and a league All-Rookie honoree.
  • Played in each JMU game and started all but the opener. Set JMU's season record of 35 freshman starts and shares the JMU season record for games played (36) with teammate Pierre Curtis.
  • Scored in double figures 23 times. Led JMU or tied for the team rebounding high a team-leading 14 times. Scored 20 or more points five times, including in four of six late-season games. Led JMU or tied for the team lead in scoring six times.
  • Had five or more rebounds in a game 21 times and led the team or tied for the team rebounding lead 14 times.
  • Ranked 16th among CAA players in scoring, first among freshmen. Ranked 13th among CAA players in rebounding, second among freshmen. Fifth among CAA players in defensive rebounds per game. Sixth among CAA players in three-point shooting percentage and three-pointers made per game
  • Second on the team in three-pointers (78) and had three or more in game 13 times. Second among all-time JMU freshman for three- pointers in a season.
  • CAA Rookie of the Week Jan. 19 (UNCW, GMU games), Feb. 16 (VCU, WM) and Feb. 23 (Hofstra, Gardner-Webb) and Co-Rookie of the Week Dec. 1 (Loyola, Florida Atlantic and Fordham).
  • Had a JMU-season-high 32 points at Hofstra, JMU's first 30 point game since Feb. 9, 2008. Had three three-pointers during the second overtime and five overall.
  • Had 21 points and a team-high eight rebounds vs. Gardner-Webb.
  • Had 24 points at Georgia State. Had a season- high six three-pointers, including four in the first 10 minutes of the last half.
  • Had 21 points in 23 minutes vs. Davidson in his first JMU game.
  • Had 19 points and a then-career-high 10 rebounds at home vs. UNC Wilmington. Had his second "double-double" in three games with 11 points and 10 rebounds vs. Towson at home. Had his third "double- double" with 20 points and a career-high 11 rebounds at Virginia Commonwealth. Had four three-pointers.
  • Vs. Seton Hall, had 11 points and a game-high- tying nine rebounds. Hit on each of his six free throws, including two to pull JMU into a 59-59 tie with 3:32 left and two to put JMU up stay, 66-64 with 1:00 to play.
  • Vs. Texas-El Paso had 11 points, three rebounds, a career-high five assists and two steals in 37 minutes.
  • At Old Dominion Jan. 7, had 13 points and four rebounds. Hit on five of six shots, including three of four three-point tries.

Before JMU

  • Spring 2008 signee after Matt Brady's hiring as JMU's head coach.
  • As a Libbey High School senior was ranked the No. 19 college prospect among Ohio seniors by Rivals.com.
  • Helped Libbey to a 27-4 record and a state title as senior when he averaged 12 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
  • An All-State Tournament selection as a senior when he also was Honorable Mention All-State, All-District and All-City for his regular- season play.
  • Three-year starter and a four-year varsity performer at Libbey.
  • Team was No. 3 in Ohio his junior season.

What attracted you to JMU?
The Opportunity

What's your major and why?
Social Justice major. I would like to work for the government after a long career in basketball

What do you enjoy doing in your free time other than basketball?
I like to play with my dog because im always gone for long times during the day.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
Playing professional basketball with a College Degree.

When did you start playing basketball?
I was in the fourth grade when I started to play organized basketball.

What is your most memorable basketball moment?
Being at the free throw line the state championship game with 5.0 seconds on the clock.

What are your goals this season? Both individually and as a team.
The team goal is too wina championship. My individual goal is to win more than one this season.


Where is the best place you have been on a holiday?
Right at home in Toledo, Ohio.

What is your favorite part about the new football stadium?
The "Big Time" feel.

What sport would you play if you didn't play basketball?
Football

What advice would you give this year's freshman class?
I would tell them to work hard everyday because the time goes very fast.

Which teammate of yours could you most likely see playing another sport?
Ray. He can move very well for his size. I think he would have great success on the football side.
